ONCE UPON IN KNITWORLD - Melbourne Spring Fashion Week:
fibre red deposited a little mystery and beauty in Lt. Collins St with the creation of "Once Upon A Knitworld", during the Sept 2009 Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. Kim and two fibre red voyeurs adorned themselves in 100% Wool costumes, complete with wool infused wigs and 18th century makeup. Meandering their way through the street to a knitting machine on a Persian Rug, the performance of making a garment was accompanied by music resonating from a cello and violin atop Kim's van. The aim was simply to create a little curiosity about fibre red and to promote the beauty of these hand made garments. The response was incredibly positive and further encouragement for fibre red to take the "Once Upon A Knitworld" installations to different levels.

Studio Opening:
We're pleased to annouce another upcoming studio opening in March 2010. The dates are as follows: Friday 19th 4pm til 7pm; and Saturday 20th 11am til 5pm. The openings enable you to buy garments and accessories at a reduced retail price, in addition to seeing the environment where everything is made. We hope to see you there.
